DNOW is a weekend focused on DISCIPLESHIP! It is where students gather with each other, leaders in the church, and other families to do some really fun activities, have amazing times of fellowship, and spend intentionally pursue God’s call on their lives to be Disciples and Live on Mission!

I’m Pastor Derrick Norris. Thanks for taking a couple minutes to check out our web site, especially the stories of the people that make up our wonderful church family. Andice Baptist Church isn’t a building; it’s a group of people who have devoted themselves to the ideal of letting God transform them. It really is amazing what can happen when all sorts of different people come together with just one thing in common: Jesus.

My wife, Rebecca, and I are here because we love God and we love people. We love watching God change people’s lives. At Andice Baptist Church we are intentional about making disciples and helping you grow so you can disciple your family and others. We hope to see you at church sometime soon. Leadership Member Cindy Armstrong ~ Admin
 

Cindy Armstrong is our Office Administrator here at Andice Baptist Church. She joined our staff in the Summer of 2017. Cindy grew up in Cypress, Texas, where she graduated from Cy-Fair High School. After high school, she attended Texas School of Business, graduating with a degree in Medical Administrative Assisting.

Cindy loves building relationships and has enjoyed teaching and caring for children for over three years. She lives in Liberty Hill, Texas, with Stephen, her wonderful husband of twenty-plus years, and they are blessed to have two sons: Max and Jonathan.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends doing various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, and disc golf. On the days which she cannot get outdoors, she likes to try new recipes, watch Football, and play cards.

Leadership Member: Briana Chapman ~ Worship Ministry
 

Briana Chapman has loved music and Jesus since she was a little girl. She got her degree in music ministry and vocal performance from Concordia University in 2014. Briana is married to Trey Chapman, and she and her husband have two young children. She has been blessed to serve on staff at Andice Baptist Church since 2012. Briana is the Minister of Worship while Trey is a Deacon, and actively involved in the Men’s and Youth Ministries, and the programs that support the other ministries in the Church.

Lindsey Broadway ~ Children Leadership
 

Lindsey Broadway has always had a passion for children and Jesus. She has worked in childcare centers, churches, and as a nanny for multiple families; her experience ranges from infants to preteens. She is also a certified childbirth educator and loves educating women about labor and birth. Lindsey is originally from Belton but moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas in high school and was there until the summer of 2017 when she moved back home to Central Texas.

Lindsey enjoys talking with people and connecting on a personal level, she’ll always have a smile and “hello!” for you. She is a single mom to two little girls, and they are her whole world. A few of her passions are holistic health, football, cooking/baking, music, pregnancy/ birth, reading, and sports.

INTRODUCTION TO LIFE GROUPS

 

When we say "Life Groups", we believe change happens best through authentic relationships, because we know God created us to live in community with others. We do that through Bible Study and Small Groups of families who do life together.
 

  1. 1. Bible Study happens every Sunday morning at 9:45 AM.
  2. 2. Small Groups meet at different times and locations.

 
It is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us.
 

HE USES OTHER PEOPLE TO GROW US, AND HE USES US TO GROW OTHER PEOPLE.

Titus 2: Women's Ministry

 

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.”

Awana Ministry

 
Awana is a world-wide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for ages 2-18. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

Family Ministry

 
Family ministry is one of the greatest opportunities we have to teach kids, develop leaders, and equip parents in order to train up and disciple the next generation. When we embrace the unique possibility of an intentionally designed effort to invest in the next generation, we embrace the possibility of a ministry that won’t just change a kid or a home but that can actually change a community and reach the world.

At Andice Baptist Church, we focus on discipleship at every level of the family: kids, parents and leaders, helping each member grow stronger in their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, with programs designed to give you the tools necessary to share the Gospel of Christ. Worship Ministry

 
Our worship ministry here at Andice Baptist Church seeks to accomplish a few main goals:

  • We strive to glorify and exalt Christ
  • We strive to build up and edify believers while promoting unity in the body of Christ
  • We strive to have our services consist of clarity, order and purpose
  • We strive to make everyone feel welcome at our church

 
What does this look like practically for us? We have a blended style of music including hymns and modern worship songs. Our musicians seek excellence while giving all glory to God. We have hymns in the pews and words on a screen. Every believer is welcome here, whether your preference in worship is more reserved or quite expressive. We'd love to have you join us in praise!

Men's Ministry

 
The Men’s Ministry connects men at Andice Baptist Church with each other and with God through regular events, classes, and community. Men's Ministry is dedicated to moving guys from acquaintances to brotherhood and creating a generation of men dedicated to the Kingdom.

Our purpose is to bring men of all ages together to strengthen relationships and camaraderie and to reach out to our friends, family, and community with the message of God's love. There are many opportunities available to help you along this journey to becoming the man Christ created you to be. These opportunities include fellowship, workshops, mentoring programs, community service and other ministries for your involvement in the church and community.

LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SERVE AT ANDICE BAPTIST CHURCH?

 

Children’s Ministry Volunteer: Work with the Children to provide age appropriate bible study and AWANA

 

Men’s Ministry: Helping men to have a closer walk with the Lord, and encouraging others to be obedient disciples of Christ.

 

ERT - Emergency Response Team: This group of men and women serve on Sunday mornings during service and for other special events to insure the safety of those meeting on the premises. They have monthly training to stay up to date on safety issues.

 

Oak Ridge Mission Outreach: On Thursday nights we meet at the church at 6:15, those going usually bring a pot luck dish to share with the men of Oak Ridge Disciple House. You will get to eat and worship with these men and encourage them on their journey.

 

College and Career Ministry: Lead a small group in Bible study and assist in planning special events

 

Praise Band/Praise Team: Musicians who assist in leading the congregation in worship and praise through instruments and singing.

 

Facilities Ministry: This individual assists the church in matters related to properties administration. Its work includes such areas as maintenance personnel, assigning responsibility to appropriate personnel for supervision and assisting the church in planning for future needs.

 

Student/Family Ministries: Help with planning, organizing and supervising regular activities and special events for the middle/high school students and families.

 

Greeter Ministry: Greet guests at on Sunday mornings and special events.

 

Sunday School Teachers/Assistants: Teach or assist teaches in the area of Bible Study on Sunday mornings.

 

Homebound Ministry: Call and visit the homebound members to encourage and help.

 

Visual Media technician (Sound Booth): The team that monitors slides and videos on Sunday morning.

 

Hospitality Ministry: Provide food for member during time of need and special events.

 

Women’s Ministry: Helping women to have a closer walk with the Lord, and encouraging others to be obedient disciples of Christ.

 

Kitchen Ministry: Helps prepare breakfast on Men’s Saturday and Easter, Wednesday AWANA Snack, or meals for other occasions.

Children's Ministry

 
Children are important to us here at Andice! Our goal is to provide a safe, fun environment, where kids can learn about who God is and what He’s done for them. We have a variety of programs in which kids can get involved. At our Sunday morning Bible Studies (9:45am), kids learn stories from the Bible geared for their age group. We re-enforce these messages during the worship service for those in childcare (ages 4 and under).

We know that family and parental influence are important in a child’s life, so we aim to have at least four events a year that families can attend together, ranging from just good old-fashioned fellowship to learning and serving together.
